Default Mamba Max with reverse but no forward

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this problem. I have an older Mamba Max with a Spektrum DX3R, running a 2S2P 3300. It seems everything is set up correctly, apart from having no forward throttle. Is there anyone that might have an idea what I should do, as I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out what's wrong.

My first suspicion is that you have the ESC set up for forward only, with no reverse.
And the transmitter "forward" is interpreted by the ESC as "reverse".

Try reversing the transmitter throttle signal and make sure the ESC is programmed to have reverse as well.

Was it working correctly recently?
Did you do anything to it (change settings, get it wet, swap motors, etc.)?

Have you tried to recalibrate it?

I set it up on Castlelink with brushed reversing. The DX3R settings are all set to normal.

I haven't used the Mamba in a while, but it was as of about six months ago. I didn't get it wet, and I did swap motors to brushed (changed it on Castlelink as well). I tried calibrating it and it seemed to have done everything needed.

I'm gonna revive this old thread to see if anyone has any ideas? I just had this problem today. I set up a MMP with two different controllers and programmed it through the blinking light option since my castle link was missing the disk. I set it up as crawler reverse and normal reverse and both times it had no forward. Set up as brushed with reverse and then I also tried to set it up as no reverse as well. Same results.

You're sure you set the motor type (brushed/BL) correct?
A fail to do that can ruin the ESC completely.

You can run it in reverse, but not forward. Correct?
The ESC indicates red when you run in reverse? (Steady red at full throttle, blinking at less than full.)
It indicates what when you try to make it go forward?

If you have castle link cable you can download program to computer and access esc that way.

Have you updated the firmware ? If yes, try an earlier version. If no, try to update. Then go thru all your settings and calibrations. Make sure you look at reverse power in the castle link, default is 50% ....double check you didnt mess with it and turn it to 0
