| voltage regulator
anybody ever used a voltage regulator instead of a bec? ive got a mmp ,spektrum rec. and a jr 8611 servo on my wraith , brownout city, wired up a duralite 6volt regulator between the batt. plug and rec. solved the problem . |

Considering the Castle BEC is about $25 bucks and the duralite regulator is $50 with unknown power specs, you probably won't find many people using it. The Castle BEC is a voltage regulator too, all BECs are.

i hear ya on the price difference , but i already had three regulators from an airplane i switched over to a123 batts. i figured if it would handle 8 servos on 35% plane , surely it would handle 1 in a truck. if anyone wants to try it , it works pretty good.
