Default dual sidewinders wont calibrate to 4pl

i am having some issue with the signal from the futaba 4pl. when the dual micro sidwindrs are hooked up to a tq3 radio and reciever they work perfect and will calibrate. but when i try to use a 4pl radio on them they chime up but act like they cant find neutral to finish the initiation. when i put the fxrs back in they work on both radios. i keep getting 2 green lights on like the trim is set too far forward but when i try to adj it back i get no results no matter where i adj it to. i have been trying to calibrate them one at a time and/or together. i asked marlboroman and he had the same problem and diddnt use them because of it. so someone has had to figure this out by now. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Check the firmware on the sidewinders with castle link. I could not get my micros to calibrate on the newest beta firmware. Try to downgrade them to the last non beta firmware and the calibrate. I don't know if it is a futaba thing or not but that was the problem I had trying to get running with my 4pks and micro sidewinders.

Have you tried reversing your throttle setting on the 4pl. Before calibration.

I have two mamba micro's and I sometimes have to calibrate them one at a time, depending on firmware.

Thanks agbracing!!! That worked perfect. It will only work with the 1.32 non beta software. But my laptop offered the new version 1.38 beta i clicked on it not knowing what would happen. I wish I would have posted this sooner. I spent many hours scratching my head with frustration and screwing with the settings in the radio. I called a Castle creations tech guy 3 weeks ago about it and he had no idea. Thanks again bud!!!-------- There are some pretty fart smellers in here

IMO, I have found that firmware upgrades in most things, not just RC, don't always help out. I never upgrade my phones, tablets, or the like. If they work, i leave them alone. Castle specifically has always given me issue when I upgrade firmware. I tend to roll them back to the oldest one available in the castle link software.

This is what I had to do when I move my MMP over to my 4PL.

Your welcome. I scratched my head a couple hours over this same issue a couple weeks ago. I just happen to try downgrading and it worked. Merry Christmas.

Just had the same problem with mine. It would give me a low voltage code when I tried to calibrate. If I just plugged it in, the ESC would eventually arm. The problem is you could tell the settings were not correct. Beta versions seem to be a pain in the rear end!
