| Help with Integy 23610 ESC
I erased my first post about this so I could change the title after having a problem come up. I purchased a Xr10 today from a hobby shop that built it for a customer that never came back and got it. It has the "Integy Rock Crawler Water Resistant Edition ESC w/Brake" Model number C23610 ESC installed. Does this ESC have low voltage detection or low voltage cutoff? Thanks Once I got the battery charged it started climbing around in the living room and over my sons little trucks and reverse quit. At first I thought I bumped something on the transmitter but I took the receiver off and installed one from an aircraft and still no reverse.. Can anyone suggest anything to try other than buying a new ESC? |

A few minutes after making the above post forward also quit.. So I boxed it up and gave up for the evening.. Well I called the hobby shop this morning when they opened and the manager told me to bring it in. I didn't want to being I am three hours away but we back over there anyways.. The minute we walked in he went to work. Took him about two seconds to tell me that my ESC was toasted. He had another ESC in stock so he started wiring it up for me. A few minutes later he powered it on and What do you know? It works!! well kind of... It works in forward and has a constant jerking while in reverse... He said that ESC must be bad as well and he would order me a new one and mail it to me... only problem is I don't solder and it will be mid February before he gets it in.. He suggested the Novak 1846 because it too is a single esc made to run both motors. He said he could order me the Novak for $70 extra (basically crediting me $50 for the integy) and giving me the novak for his cost. being I am on my second defective ESC in less than 24 hours im really not sure I want to wait a few weeks for another one just like it to arrive.. I am uploading a video now, maybe someone can see something wired wrong or a problem. |

here is the youtube video of it messing up with the new ESC. Any suggestions? I have read up on the novak and seems most people are against it, other cheaper suggestions? Axial xr10 help needed. - YouTube Last edited by kelley350x; 01-30-2013 at 09:23 PM. |

wow.... A that was the problem... Thank you very much! The guy at the hobby shop (who actually built the truck) started messing with the radio before he said the other ESC was bad, then after he swapped the ESC out for the new one it was doing this.. I am using an airtronics MX sport as if it matters at this point.. lol Last edited by kelley350x; 01-30-2013 at 09:50 PM. Reason: FORGOT TO GIVE THANKS! |
