I too have the same issue only its on the RS as well. I am using the 223 FW from hotwire with drag brake on. running a 13.5 motor sensored.

I shipped the combo in to tekin for troubleshooting. Just waiting on their results before reporting back. Hopefully it's a easy fix...

My roc is doing the exact same thing....! I thought it was normal as this is the first BL motor I've ever owned... I will try the things mentioned previously in this thread but if I cannot fix it, I will call tekin as the motor and esc (RS pro) is less than 3 weeks old... It is an anomoly and doesn't affect performance or cause any damage at all. It is sort of a rare occurence, usually just barely moving the rig stops it.

Just an update... So while I was waiting on the return of the ESC/motor combo, I had switched paces and start working on my scaler build. I went out and got another RS Pro/ROC412 combo and proceed to wire it all up. gave it a good test run and it all worked out very well. I then started tuning it and at the same time, updated the ESC to the latest version. After doing so, I got the same issue, the motor would knock. I just left it as is for now and ignored it. Fast forward a few days to where got my new RSpro replacement (NIB), went ahead and soldered it all up and installed it back into my R1. Flashed it, and restored the settings. I took it out for about 5 mins, and again, the motor started knocking. So that's three ESCs in a row with the same issue. Anyways, I haven't decided on what to do now, I'll probably just live with it, or downgrade to 212 where it is not an issue. |
