If your gonna stick with brushed then stick with the brxl it is a great esc. If you plan on changing things up in the future then go with the mmp so you can run sensor or sensorless or brushed. Any motor and up to 6s. Just my 2 cents...

All I run is MMpro in everything.. The Sv2/Sv3s are neither sensored and will go into heat detection faster than a prom date loosing a dress.
They also cant handle high kv motors without a tiny little pinion.
The SV3 may say its "Waterproof" but.. expect to run it in water and watch it go into anaphalactic shock.
Besides, you ever go brushless and the MMpro will do everything, for any motor.
I swear by Castle and All I run is MMpro.
Heres some of the combos which are tried and proven in my scale rigs.
MMpro, Tekin 4600Kv Pro4, RC4wd Boyer Truggy, 9.6lbs, 1.9 Bogger
MMpro, Tekin 7.5 Gen2, Axial Jk Rubicon, 8.2lbs, 1.9 Bogger
MMpro, Tekin 4.5 Sc4X, Zombie Wraith, 10.4lbs, 2.2 Pits
Mmpro, Tekin 4.5 Sc4X, Ash Wraith on 4WS, 9lbs, 2.2 Rips
MMpro, Castle 2400, EXO Foff Bug, Sand Paddles, Street Tires, Clay tires and sometimes 2.2s
These are truly more versatile than even the Micro Tekins. (Cheaper Too)

All I run is SV3's in all my rigs, I've had over 7 SV3's and all have been submerged countless times in water and never had "anaphalactic shock". Also have friends that run them also without issue.
I run the 5700Kv 4 pole with a 20t pinion in a 7lb scx10 with no problems and a 6900Kv 4 pole in a 6ishLB scx10 mud truck with a 15T 32p in a RC4WD 2 speed tranny also without problems, maybe im just lucky.
I wish they would offer the MMP in a waterproof option, then that would be the greatest ESC.... ever?

Ok, I can admit not ALL SV3s will die after getting wet. But, The last "Waterproof" system I had was an Hpi Version in my Block Rally car. I even had an overtray on and a poof..... it got cooked running it in the snow on X-Mas 2012.

The only truck I run in Water is lil Zombie. The MMpro is decased and dipped in Liquid tape.. Sensor board on motor is dipped too.... and has been submerged too many times. No issues after 2 years. Pic was after his 1st Place win in The Recon Terra-x

Holmes offers a water proofing service for electronics. ECS's aren't listed but I'm sure they could do it since they do their own. I'd love to send them all my electronics for water proofing but the cost adds up pretty fast and I'd hate to have my only rig down for that long. Maybe once I get another
