Default putting a hook in a 4PL

Hi, not sure if this goes in the electronic section but hey...

I would like to put a hook on my 4PL so that I can use a neckstrap (also as an added security to prevent it from falling).

As anyone got a "best place to put the hook" suggestion, I tried to look in the forum and couldn't find answer.

Thanks!

The holes for the screws that keep the plastic sides together will accept a 1/4-20 nylon bolt and hold a decent amount of torque on it. You must shorten the nylon bolt to fit the particular hole chosen. I added a strap (approx 1"x6" webbing) parallel to the pistol grip that fits over the back of my hand for extra grip stability. The shallow screw holes don't grip the bolt as well and I ended up tapping both holes for the bolts. Threads are very shallow but increase the holding power. If I knew how, I'd post a couple of pics.

Used a 14ag noodle wire, little solder, shrink wrap inside the casing... perfect!
Thanks a lot!

Thanks if it reveals not practical I'll try that. However, I drilled just a little below the noodle gage, so it's pretty snug and should not "erode" the plastic.

Going to a friendly comp this saturday, river side, didn't want to worry seeing my Tx falling in the water
