You would need to be sure you got it fully covered, otherwise it will end up getting wet eventually. That review I posted had a sponge that they didn't get fully covered and it ended up soaking it. All the nooks and cranny's would be difficult on foams I think.

sorry it took me a while....I forgot about this. The coating on the ESC will come off if you rub it hard with your finger or scratch it with your fingernail. However, for boards covered in shrink (which would be all of mine), I think the coating will hold up just fine.

I've used corrosionX in the past with good results, this side of the pond, we don't get as many toys, but I've dunked a brushless esc before in over a models shell and it survived a treat .

I've never been sure on how often to coat the electrics again though, I tend to go for every 12 months, generally as the weather starts to get wet and miserable again - we tend to get a warm couple of weeks in between lol
