Default CC BEC capacitor removal

Pretty sure I read guys were simply removing the capacitor off the new style BEC's.

Those with experience. Any good/bad scenarios?

I've run out of the old style and trying to smash some electronics. This puppy is in my way

Bad idea to remove.

The "old" style had a monolithic capacitor that was replaced with the electrolytic capacitor as an improvement. Bottom line the circuit needs a cap.

I was thinking the new BEC's simply had an additional capacitor. Don't they still have the same small cap mounted on the board?

I've been running a couple of the new BEC's with the larger cap removed without any negative side effects so far.
