No. the voltage is way too high.

Depends on which sidewinder you have. I've read that the sv1 handled 4s with an external BEC. Not the Sv2.. From what I've read anyways. I've yet to try it on my SV1.
I'm not sure about the ax2

Good luck. You're most likely to thermal the esc. I have a on a fxr with bigger cap and 4s.

What motor and gearing?

My sidewinder SCT has 12v LVC. As do most sidewinders if I understand correctly. This is my only sidewinder I can test. I hooked up a 4s and it beeps 4 times does the normal chimes but no motor function.
That being said, I didn't expect it to work.
Supposedly running firmware 1.24 will work for 4s. Which is only available on the older sidewinders.
Hope this helps. I was curious myself so I dug into it.
If I get my hands on my other sidewinder sometime soon, which is an sv1.

That's just craziness if you ask me..4s is wayyyy to much. The voltage is 14.8v obviously and I doubt it would work, why not buy an esc that CAN handle a 4s....

What he said. Why are you running a 35T brushed motor? It makes no sense at that voltage. Go waterproof brushless. You can a cheap set up for like 60-80 bucks. Ebay is your friend. I jut paid a little more than I would have liked, but got a 1415 castle 4 pole 550 can 2400KV motor for 60 bucks. I have a 4370 KV I got for 20 that's brushless. Buy them used, you get a 50% price discount which means even if 1 of ever 2 you buy is junk you end up even.

There alot people (myself included)that run 35t and higher turn motors on 4s. I ran a 25t on 4s for while.

I would suggest senored brushless system if you go that route. Non senored going to suck if you do any little of crawling.

I ran my custom HH resin waterproofed sidewinder v1 with external cc-bec on 4s at one comp without even thinking... Still works to this day

I know on the Sidewinder first generation which I ran on my AX10 shafty comp rig years back you could roll back to the original firmware release and it did allow me to run 4s.

I wouldn't recommend doing it for extended periods of time, but it is doable.

The AX2 I am not familiar with though.

Ive also ran my original sidewinder on 4S with the right firmware settings. I forget the gearing but it was a brood apocalypse kaos motor with a summit trans on 4s for comps and 3s otherwise. Worked well for me without any issues. There is a thread about the original sidewinder settings or something that has many others posting about success on 4S

4s is where you want to be! Either trailing or comping, you just can't beat it...plus it's easier on your electronics (keeps amp draw down).
