servo making high pitch noise

hey guys,

wore out my stock servo arm on my Wraith, bought the Wraith used, it came with a Savox 1256TG servo and metal arm, I installed the new servo and arm, now when i turn on my wraith, the servo makes a high pitch whine... any thoughts?

Couple things. Is it digital? These normally make high pitch noise. Just the nature of the beast. Second check that your servo endpoints ( on the transmitter ) are set so that the servo stops before the steering binds up.

Thanks for the reply, yes it is a digital servo, noob question, but how do I check that the steering end points on the transmitter are set to stop before it binds? The arm is right in the middle of full left and full right turn

The way i set mine is turn ur truck on steer left or right when you r turning all the way then adjust ur end point on ur transmitter till it stops just shy of full lock then ur end points r set

I wonder if this is the reason I stripped my steering servo gears.
