I went the easy route...I bought a brick house!

I usually try to charge mine in the garage...unless it's the battery for the Stryker, which I usually end up charging in the truck (cig lighter plug).

I'm using the "Battery Bunker" and yeah you best use an approved lipo charger and watch'em.

For long term storage of my packs I use a fire safe with vent holes drilled into it...for added security place the safe in your fireplace. ;) Wish I had video footage of the 6s2p 4000mah lipo that went up at our old shop...burned a 3ft diameter section of 4-5" tall grass down to little black stubs!!! Last time I was at the old shop that section of the lawn STILL hadn't grown at all.

If you take care, Lipos can be as safe as any battery. I had one fall out of a plane during a pretty high speed loop. Impacted the concrete and puffed then popped just like the second video. I charge in a old pot with a lid that sits in a larger dish full of sand. If I am doing some bulk charging, I will use the fireplace as I don't have to hover over it as much as I should.

Funny thing, my NiMH was charging on a wall charger the other day. Luckly I was several feet away. It exploded and blew the charger off of the wall!!!! The battery looked like a shotgun shell. It was blown out of one end, and there was nothing left in it?

I guess they all can be dangerous?

Someone tried charging a RC18T (stock) battery at the LHS track at 4 amps and POW! There is still a black mark up the wall.

So I guess I should stop charging my batteries on the pile of oily rags and old newspapers?
