Default CC BEC Setup Diagram for HV Servo at 7.4v

Quick question, no flaming, I've "used the search button" and RTFM. Lots of opinions, and sketchy diagrams. Just want to show my diagram and get a quick Yes or No before I blow something up, and if it is correct, it may help other people.

Thanks for the help in advance!

I run it like that but I don't connect the bec yellow wire to anything. You may want your black servo wire connected to the rx if you get glitching.

You can also make the servo have two plugs. one for the Rx wire only and one for the pos/neg to BEC.

I have a rx/tx plug crimper tool so it's a clean setup for me. Best $21 ever spent. Servo Connector Crimping Pilers

Plug the BEC into the +/- plug on the servo and plug the servo rx wire into the rx.

...

I've heard about leaving the black wire in, so I will try that too. That tool is pretty slick, I like the BEC/ESC all bundled up.

I think I like having the Y adapter in there, If I have to change a servo in the field it allows for a universal install, and I can borrow a buddy's spare servo as a last resort and keep going.

Remove the signal wire from the Y harness that the BEC plugs into, that way you just pop it out of the harness for programming.

Use the black wire from the servo to receiver as mentioned earlier to avoid glitching.

I would also add a small connector in the power feed to the BEC. In my application I removed the power switches to my dual sidewinder micros and hard wired the powers all together and now I cannot program the BEC due to power feedback going to the ESC's, so a way to isolate the bec would bea good idea.

You should still be able to program the bec with it's power wires attached to the esc. I haven't had issue.

Is that with switches to the esc still intact and turned off or switches removed?

Ah that may be why never had the battery plugged in. I am also using the field programming card as the interface to the PC if that makes a difference.

I just tested it with the neg wire cut from the power connection and it is fine now. The way it was before there was power going to the micros from the BEC, must be some sort of power feedback or something that having the battery hooked up would have eliminated.

Nothing a little micro deans, jst connector a a tiny micro switch can't fix in the rewire I am going to have to do since I cut the wire LOL.

Side note is an 18 guage from battery to both esc and bec ok?

Yup.... Bec plugged in to castle link..... Castle link on...... Then plug in you rigs battery and castle link will then sync.

Also I build my own splitter harness..... Just stop the signal wire from bec to servo in the splitter like said above.

Dam cut the wire for nothing LOL.

Oh well wasn't too thrilled with the wire job as it was, used 14 gauge wire to the esc and bec but it is too bulky and stiff for my liking.

Guess its not a big deal as the batts have 18 coming from them in the first place.

It would be fine for a comp rig. I would go with something heavier if it's going in a heavier rig.

XR axles on mantis chassis (LostInKoreas old chassis) with brood 35t motors ? Not the lightest but not the heaviest.

The issue is that the CC programmer is trying to power the BEC as well as the ESC's when all their power inputs are common, this is why you need to plug in the rig pack. Neither the programming card or the CC USB link can provide enough power to runn everything.
I use the CC USB cable, hook it all up and plug in a charged rig pack and program away.

Awesome hijack, I just learned a bunch.

Here's the updated diagram with inline removable plug and connectors, completely removable, adjustable and transferable

Quick question guys my servos are rated at 7.4 volts I've got 1 for steering and 1 for rear steer. Do I need a bec for each servo or can I run 2 off of 1 10amp cc bec? Also since I have a shift servo will I still be safe running the rx and shift servo off my mmp esc bec?
