| Help this front/rear steer & sensored motor install!
So, I think it is less daunting than I am making it, but I'd like to get some input on what my wiring should look like. Here are the specs: 7950TH Hitec front steering servo 7954SH Hitec rear steering servo HeyOK front and rear steer controller for 3 pos. switch Mamba Max Pro ESC Trackstar 10.5 Sensored Motor I have two CC BECs available for this install HK GT2R receiver to be used with FlySky radio What should I set the BECs to for this application? I'll add a servo winch later and possibly when I move the drivetrain and electronics to a different chassis. Thanks for the help! Jon D. Last edited by spankbomb; 07-02-2014 at 09:17 AM. |

put the stronger 50 servo on the rear and set bec to a minimum of 7.4. I set mine at 8, but am getting ready to try 8.5 after successful testing. More often than not the weight of the rig will be on the rear axle.

They are Hitec servo's and over kill, in any direction. I'm also running 4ws and brushless. 2x 7950's, Tekin RS, an a HH Trailmaster BL. I have both bec at 7.4v and direct to the servo's. (Only way to have room for the plugs in the rx)... I would put the 7950 on the front, it trends to have more of the motor torque from the tires pushed into it when ur jammed up against a rock or what not. That and the front of the rig is normally heavier. |

Yeah if the servo can handle that high of a voltage it will work but not if its only rated for 7.4v....sure it may work but..that could burn it out. My Hitec 7980th has plenty of power on 7.4v...611 oz's. But I would also put that 7950 in the front, the front tends to need more torque when in binds and stuff.

It's thus rated to be fed straight from a fully charged 7.4V battery. That's 8.4V. The official servo data regarding speed and torque is typically measured while fed this way, so the data for "6.0V" is true for an actual 7.0V feed and the data for "7.4V" is measured while feeding 8.4V. | |
