Default Advise for good brushed motor for 6-cell??

Any good advise for which motor to choose for my TTC rig from the RCCrawler community?
At the moment I run brushed motor in the 27-35t range, and I use 6-cell in some parts of the competition, in others 3-cell. My experience is that they handle one competition and then they can be thrown away. i admit that I have not purchased the most expensive motors since they only last one comp. The last Novak motor made me win the annual TTC competition, but now it is just rubbish....

Here a film from the tow test...my car is the white Toyota Hi-Lux 2.58 min into the film...

Any advise for which motortype to choose that can handle 6-cell?

Any motor can handle it, but as you found they don't last long. If you get a nicer motor, it could be rebuilt over and over. The cost of a new arm and brushes is less than all but the cheapest motors, and if you start with a quality base product the performance will be much better than a cheap sealed can.

for example, our TorqueMaster Sport and Expert motors feature fb9 magnets and high quality laminations and brushes. After every comp you may be able to clean up the comm and brushes, or replace what got worn out. I would say a 35t to 27t is you best bet. Don't use silver brushes, they will arc heavily on 6s.

Your other choice is a brushless system.
