I've run two of these in 30C with brushed motors and they work ok. I've experienced one thing though, if I measure voltage on each cell there will be a lot of difference between them. I've seen as much as 0.5V when run to lipo cut. I also got a third but it had a dead cell when I got it. Given the price I'd guess this is just what one can expect. HK customer support doesn't exactly live up to the standard set by RCC vendors either. Win some, loose some..

Do you always balance charge them? I know it takes longer but it does save money on dead batteries... unless of course they come from the factory that way.

Yes I allways charge with balance and never with more than 1C. In my opinion this is due to differece between cells. I've got several other lipo from HK but never seen this difference with them. They are all ok lipos but I'm not in to that Nano-hype. Moving over to Gens Ace when these are shot.

It's a fair assumption that he means 3s as a description of the amount of cells rather than the C rating. There are no packs below 10c afaik.

Not sure why but some use the 'c' moniker instead of the more common 's' for number of cells.

Well done. Makes sense about the difference in cells with no matching as that takes time and money.

Never understood why whomever came up with the standard for lipos wasn't thinking the same thing, especially after coming from 'cells' of nimh/nicad.

Either way 'S' denotes the count of cells, and 'C' denotes the rate of discharge.

Just to be nitpicky:
S denotes number of cells in Series. (Can be two or more in parallel as well.)
C denotes "times (nominal) Capacity"

Running two batteries in parallel won't increase the rate of discharge, it just doubles the capacity.

I'm not sure about GensAce, but a GForce from Value Hobby with those specs is $12.99.

You're correct it won't increase the rate, but it will double the available current since 20C of 6Ah is twice as much as 20C of 3Ah.

Nitpicky... Eh, it's correct. Confusing for a noob... Quite possibly. The understanding of capacity can be misinterpreted.

If I have one 2200 mah battery at 20c I got 44amps.

If I have 2 x 2200 mah batteries at 20c will I not have 88 amps

So with a larger capacity I have more amps available.

This is why with a high mah battery you can have a lower C or discharge rate.

Thanks for explaining. Maybe I wasn't clear.
