As far as I know the sticker is the only way. You might talk to HW and see what they say.

R2 did this for quite some time dumping large packaging to make packages smaller. Not sure about his vendor but has been the norm from many things I've gotten from china with zero issues

I have ran 5 of the hobbywing quicrun series of esc and all have been purchased from hobbywing either on ebay or amazon and I have had no issues, possible you got a faulty esc or like dude said it could be a clone and not the authentic hobbywing product( I believe hobbywing box has the verifiable hologram sticker on the bottom of the box)

Well I didn't got any answers from them..
By mention "Hobbywing" who do you refer?
Do you mean by any chance for a local dealer?
We don't have local dealer here on Israel so I contacted the customer service on their website.
That didn't stopped them from sending me to look for a local dealer on their website list...
After I wrote them that we don't have a local dealer (like thay couldn't check this by themselves) the customer service guy just referred me to the technical support..
