I've been running the 800 oz servos and have found this so far. Hard to explain so bare with me. They don't like a bec for some reason in standard installation. The servo wouldn't turn on. Unplugged the servo from bec and into the rx and no issues it worked fine. Found that when you plug the servo into the bec with the battery plugged in it works. No idea what's going on there. Almost like it has to sync to the rx. Been very happy with it in the pro so far. Good speed and torque. Is it the spec they claim...feels like a 7980. Love the all aluminum construction too. Now for the big negative. They don't like the super. Last week was testing and thought I'd put it in a fight for its life and it died. They never really got hotter than my 7980's. Could be a faulty servo or could just be too much tire to throw around. So far I'll stick with them in my 2.2 rigs.

What does that have anything to do with a bluebird servo?

Kevin I do not run a bluebird, but I have the same opinion with the savox. My comp rig it is lousy and my deadbolt is awsome. My deadbolt is much lighter in the front end with narrower tires. |

I wanna try the blue and red but there out of stock at tail draggers rc. I emailed him asking when he's getting more and he said not till end of may at the earliest. He's going to open preorders though. He said they've been really popular.

Ive been talking about this issue with other RC gurus and they think it may be from me running the Holmes rx bypass adapter with my bec. Im going to try it without the dual ground setup soon. If it resolves the issue this is a great addition to the rc market for powerful servos.

Updates on this servo. I did not have any issues with a RX bypass adapter. Servos are quite fast and plenty powerful. I had to turn down the voltage on the rear servo because of how fast it was. I'm really happy with them so far! Durability and longevity will be the true test. |

Small update. Ive had 2 go bad now. Just got really hot and quit working. No difference in use than a 7950. I do have one though that ive been running for awhile with no issues. Best part is I contacted taildragger rc through email about warranty and got a immediate response. Im going to send the servos to them and they are going to investigate what happened and send them to blue bird. So far awesome service all around.

Wonder if there's any difference in the guts of the "B" version to the "C" version? IE: is one more durable than the other? Size is the same, the torque and speed specs are a bit different. Dan and Scott, which version are you using? |

I have to think Dan is using the same. Maybe I'll try the "C" version and see if it's a bit more robust. |
