I just picked up a fs gt3c radio for my trx4 its been hacked for 6 channels everything is fine, but should I look into another 800 lipo or the 1700 lipo just to have in my backpack for those all day trail runs, don't know what to expect from the run time with this new radio, anybody ?

I carry an extra battery to be safe, but the stock 800mAh seems last at least 6-8hrs or longer. I've never run it right down

Stock 800mah should go all day crawling, but buy a second larger battery it's only about $10. |

Go out and buy a 2000mah phone charger from the dollars store. Toss it in your bag just in case. never needed to use it but it can be plugged into the radio and rubber banded underneath to charge your battery on the bottom. The radios draw is so low it actually will charge a dead battery when it is operating. Plus you have a back up for your phone. Or buy a spare |

Buy the 1700mah battery and keep the 800mah for a backup. 2x the capacity with no modifications needed for $14 is a no brainer. https://www.banggood.com/Flysky-BA17...l?rmmds=search |

Ok ,so I got the bigger 1700 mah battery. i can drive for days, granted I dont leave it on at all times. I honestly charge my radio twice a week, and drive daily. take it for what its worth.

| Re: Flysky gt3c battery life ? I do the same with a Samsung 25R. I rarely have to use it, and I frequently use the radio for 4-6hrs on end. I've left it on after an event and it was several hours longer before the warning chimed. Modern lipo radios actually use a lot less power with 80-90% efficiency. Many recent 9.6v radios still use linear power regulators, meaning 50% if it's a 5v board. |
