Default Mamba X Rock Racer/Crawler feature question

I have been tinkering with this feature and have not been able to achieve my desired result.

What I would like is the ability to switch between crawler mode where I can use forward and reverse without nuetral delay including drag brake, and rock racer mode where I get forward with brake and reverse after delay plus drag brake.

am i missing something? Is this possible?

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere!

You can only have rock racer mode with reverse (delay), no drag brake and crawler mode with crawler reverse (instant), with drag brake.

That's doable.

I have my TRX-4 setup to use the AUX wire to switch between Crawler and Rock Racer modes. Its piggy-backed off my transmission high/low gear button so low gear = crawler mode with drag brake, high-gear = Rock Racer with brake and delayed reverse.

*Edit*

There's no drag brake in rock racer mode.

X-series Rock Race/Crawler Auxiliary Wire Mode

There are examples there with the drag brake available in the racer mode. It will be reduced, but it will work.

I have my aux wire connected in parallel with the shifter servo, and zero drag brake in racer mode.

I requested the removal of drag brake and instant reverse when toggling from crawler mode to rock racer mode.

I would forget I was in this mode when going fast and when I hit the brake it would go into reverse and do a forward roll.

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for, but if you were to configure the aux wire channel endpoints between 1.0ms and 1.15ms, you'd have crawler mode with only 5% drag brake. Less, if you and the radio could cut it closer.

You should be able to achieve this. (what I explain below is for a 3 position setup, ignore the mid point if using a 2 position setup)

For the Aux channel used the setting for low will be the drag brake value for Rock Racer mode (if this value is set above 0% rock race mode will have a drag brake) the trim is the mid point and sets the value of the drag brake in Crawler mode for the medium setting, and the High will be the max drag brake setting for crawler mode when switched to high.
In the Castle link settings you would need to set the drag brake to a value between the low and mid points, what you set this to determines when the switch between Crawler and Rock Race mode occurs. If its set to 25% in Castle link then below 25% you will switch to Rock Racer Mode, over 25% you get crawler mode.

This thread has tons of good info in it too.

I can do what I need. Castle added it to the firmware. It wasn't possible in the beginning.
