| BEC Query
Hello guys, Im planning on turning my GOM into a 4 wheel steer model. Its currently running a Mamba X at 7.4v and feeding a JX 5932 for steering and a JX 6221 for shifting. I will be adding another JX 5932. From what I understand the 5932 is capable of up to 8.4v but the 6221 will smoke above 7.4. I have a castle BEC coming and I was wondering if there is a simple way to feed the 2 steering servos 8.4v direct from the BEC. This will be my first BEC so Im a bit of a noob. Im happy with configuring the BEC through castle link, its just the wiring Im not sure all about... I had thought about using a Y splitter and feeding the 6221 from the BEC and just leaving the signal wire going to the receiver, but then this limits me to 8v to the 5932 from the Mamba. Or should I try it the other way with 2 splitters to the steering servos from the BEC and leave the 6221 on the Mamba. Im not sure if my idea is even possible ? Your thoughts ? |

Connected that BEC to the steering servos and the 6221 shifter & RX powered by the ESC. Set the ESC's BEC to whatever your RX can take up to 7.4v. The 6221 will actually take 8.4v but only you're shifting occasionally and only if it doesn't take 10kg+ to shift it. I've run them fine on the bench at 8.4v but they fry after a minute when stressed. |

It sounds like you are going to make something yourself. That's great. If you are someone that doesn't want to solder, consider one of these: Link to the part: No Brainer BEC |

Thanks for your help guys. The castle bec hasn't arrived yet, but I got hold of a cheap one to try. My y splitters landed though. No 4 wheel steer bits as yet. But I've had a fiddle and come up with this. I've tested with the flysky and it works with the 4ws! Happy days. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk |
