Tactic TTX300 3rd Channel Lights I am trying to see if I can use the 3rd channel to turn led lights on and off. Currently I have the axial simple Led controller, part #AX24257. Would I need to upgrade to the NVS controller if I want to turn the lights on and off using the tactic 3rd channel? |
Re: Tactic TTX300 3rd Channel Lights You need something like this: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vendo...-lighting.html http://i.imgur.com/gAIXDDF.jpg |
Re: Tactic TTX300 3rd Channel Lights Thanks |
Re: Tactic TTX300 3rd Channel Lights I used the mytrickrc dragon setup on that remote, the headlights had 3 levels of brightness. More expensive then the heyok stuff but it was waterproof and came with lights. |
Re: Tactic TTX300 3rd Channel Lights Hey, most of my stuff is waterproof ;-) Also, I make this controller (two versions - receiver powered and external powered) that does three levels of dimming: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/vendo...ml#post4286858 Here I tell you how to make your own light strings for basically pennies: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/elect...wire-leds.html |

Run one and if it gets hot, reduce the current going to it with a larger resistor in series. Then you also have to be aware of how much heat is being dissipated by the resistor. Gets to be a pain. Here is something that I found works pretty well - I used to run this on one of my rigs that had easy places to put four of the 3 watt Cree LEDs - I ended up putting all four in series and because I was running it from a 3S lipo, the voltage worked out right so that the LEDs were super bright, but still running below spec (they didn't melt anything). As fun as it was having that much light, it wasn't really practical, so I ran it from one of my dimming light controllers so it could be lit up, but not painful to use when I happened to be driving towards myself. |
