Default Which tx are other electronics?

I have decided to get into crawling recently with the opening a crawl based rc shop opening up in my town. I am leaning towards the scx10ii raw builders kit. I definitely want to go brushless but do not know a bunch about crawler based systems. Ideally, I would like it to perform well on a dedicated coarse, but also be able to get some decent (+- 30mph) speed for bashing. I know these arent built for that, but I also know how things will go when we are just messing around with them.

The next big question is with radio system? I currently run a Futaba 4pv for my race rigs. I have never been particularly fond of it, and with it only being 4 channels, I am thinking of getting something else. Are there any systems that stand out? Thats the 2 biggest decisions I have to make so far and any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mamba X and Holmes PullerPro 3500 3s
Tires /foams and wheels will make it crawl and fly. Not many fill that bill, Hyrax might be a good overall choice

I run a Futaba 4PLS couldn’t ask for more in that radio.

Hang up and Drive

The shop has the mamba x in stock but he said it was a complete system with motor included for $199. So would I need to go by the holmes motor separately? Thanks.

There are different packages available - with and without motors.

He most likely has one of the Mamba X ESC / Castle Slate motor packages.

You'll need to find out what kv rating the motor has in the setup he is selling to decide if it suits your needs.

Otherwise, get yourself a better setup from another seller.

Thanks for the reply. He has the crawler edition combo with the 1900kv motor. Trying to do some research on it now.

Three are no decent crawlers or configurations that can crawl well and go 30mph in my opinion.

If they can hit 30mph the low end will be cogging and overheating.

Not to mention they won't be anything close to stable as crawlers have a high center of gravity to not high center on rocks.

You caluld put $600 into a crawler and be disappointed. Or $300 into a basher and $300 into a crawler and be better off.
