|  HW 1060 Should i buy?
About to order a GS02 Bom. I can not see this model being pushed hard. I am going to run brushed, 35t motor. I have had good luck with the HW 1060 in several Tamiya models BUT not crawlers. Would it be ok to run the 1060? The 1080 is double the cost apx. |

The 1060 is Ok in a basic trail truck I have a couple but the 1080 is the way to go for a crawler on a budget, it works great and has lots of tuning options, the 1060 is very limited in tuning options.

1060 makes a good cheap winch controller as well, can even de-case it and paint with liquid tape.

If you are running an external BEC you can probably get away with either. If you are counting on the BEC circuit in the ESC itself the 1080 would be the better choice, especially if running a high torque servo, multiple servos, or both.
