Default Flight ESC for 380 motor?

Can I run a flight ESC to power a HH revolver 380? I don't really want to spend 70 dollars on a "proper" ESC like the sidewinder.
I'm using this for a custom Kei crawler with a TA CR12.

Thanks.

If it has reverse you can. Most I've seen don't have reverse. I'd also expect the throttle curve to be crappy for rock crawling, but I wouldn't know for sure. If $70 is too much why not just get a cheaper or even used brushless ESC? Even a hobbywing

I haven't been able to find an aircraft-specific ESC that has reverse.

I am running 380-sized motors on my Blizzard, and they are ran off of HW1060 ESCs, which work great, and are very cost effective.

I found a brushless hobbywing ESC for 20ish dollars, I'll give that a try.

Is it brushless? You can use a blheli32 esc like the wraith32 but you need a flight controller or an arduino like the noxe to enable reverse as most dont come with biderectional turned on by default.

The Arduino or flight controller are only used for changing factory settings, similar to castle link.
