I have never ran two speed controls off one battery... I could not tell you.

I guess it works for others... If any speed control would handle the stress, it would be the mamba max's...

A spike or drop in current is not good for any electronics. it stresses them.

if the speed control is connected to its own battery, it expects, and is designed to handle the current drop when you pin the throttle.

Add another speed control, dropping current when there is no signal to run the motor is a spike the ESC was not expecting.

The MM has 3 capacitors on the supply, capacitors soften or cushion the voltage spikes. So maybe it does not effect the MM.

I think you will have to talk to someone running something close to your setup.

I believe if you run two 4400's you will have KILLER run time.

but if others are getting good runtimes with your setup something is up with your rig.

hope it helps!
Peace

huh... I suspected the axles but I don't know anything about them.

I figured they were same gearing as Clods...

Clod stock gearing with the 13 tooth pinion is 30:1

With a 9 tooth it is:
30 x (13/9)= 43.3

43.3:1

Clod pinion gear ratio
6T 66.6:1
7T 51.14:1
8T 48.89:1
9T 43.46:1
10T 39.11:1
11T 35.56:1
12T 32.59:1
13T 30.08:1
14T 27.94:1
15T 26.07:1
16T 24.44:1

Math is off a bit on a few but you get the point.

Not much.

Put the raptor axles on the bay....

Get the clods back in there...

Talk to 666 about why brushless is the best for getting rid of the clod stall...

Go to JRH's website and buy brushless motors.....

Get integy axle tubes for your clod axles if you think you will break the plastic...

Charge battery.

Enjoy.

Myself, I would sell the Raptors, the are not the most serviceable axles. You can only get parts from one really reliable source

If you search enough you will find someone made motor mounts so that 6 tooth pinions can be used.
