Damn Geo, I haven't checked your thread in a while. Those shock extenders, and the nut-eliminators you cut are SICK bro. Can't wait to see this bad boy with the dlux axles under it

Since wednesday iv been pretty busy with stuff around the house but finally i got time to tinker with these sick pieces of art that Erik has sent me. At first they were a little intimadating with all the different parts but in the end they are really easy and nice to work with. My rig ready to run before the swap was 4lb6oz.

Here is a shot of my old rear axle

My old front axle

The new rear

And the new front

Ill get them under the car tomorrow and have some more updates for ya. Since the front is now 1.5oz lighter and the rear is 1.3oz lighter ill remove some of the knuckle weight so its not to front bias. I cant wait to drive these most superb axles. DLUX always puts out the BEST product.

Looks good man!

Looks like you could still lose almost 2oz per axle by motor lathing and gear milling.

Actually, I think it would be closer to 1.5oz. I didnt realize that you had your hubs and hub screws on for those pics. I consider the hub and screws part of the wheel.

Motor should be good for an ounce, each and gears should be good for 7ish grams per case.

So since Sunday was a holiday last night I finally got the rig all finished up. Not only do these cases and tubes look badass but I think they work even better than that. Not only did I notice it being lighter on its feet but the clearence on the cases is huge. Burbo and I drove it for a bit last night and I'm speechless. My lower links were hitting the battery mount a little so I got rid of that part of the carbon. Gonna drive the crap out of it tonight so ill have some pics to post Wednesday.

THANKS AGAIN ERIK FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK TO KEEP THIS HOBBY OF OURS GOING STRONG. LIKE IV SAID BEFORE DLUX PARTS ARE THE BEST.

Thanks guys. I think once I get use to the narrowness of the car and the new weight this car is gonna be unstoppable.

It sits right at 10 1/2 front and 10 1/4 rear. I think it will be good there once I get use to it.

That's what mine was when I built it up. I had to add 1/8" spacers all the way around so I had enough clearance in the front.

Your so 2009 Geo!

Crazy youre running that narrow. I am glad these axles allowed you to do that though. I know I really like being under 11" and still having the same amount of scrub as I did at 11 1/4.

I didnt know you were such a video junky, I just watched a bunch of your vids.

The mannequin is creeepy.

Yeah being this narrow has been a little different. When i put them together i was running 3.5 oz of knuckle weight on each side. I took .5 oz off each side and the car acted way different than before. So i put that .5 oz back on each side and it seems to handle way better at this width now. Ill give this width a little while before i put my width back where it was at 10 3/4 front and 10 1/2 rear.

I have to tear into it though cause i did something to it last night and now its acting weird. Think its my front motor but im not sure yet.
