While the weather was bad the past few days i decided to check into some binding i had going on in my steering. so i made these new top hat bushings and now everything is butter.

here are a couple shots of the car while doing some testing today.

Why yes they are pumice rocks. We have a bunch of pumice at the BYB compound from our pals at CASCADE ROCK.

Very nice! We've got a few of them in our club's course as well. I hadn't seen any other courses built with them before...

No the o ring I had was a little big. Now I just use a piece of heat shrink and the shocker to hold the balance wire down.

Funny you say that. We had some pretty hard rain sunday morning and the yard turned into a lake pretty fast.

So iv been slowly trying to reduce the weight of the car. The car is around 4lb11oz and id like to try the 4lb 8oz mark. This is what she looked like at the start to the weekend.

I started by taking some grams off my hubs by putting them in the lathe. And i also drilled the hubs out and put 3mm Aluminum screws. A pic of before.

and after

When i took the body panels off i saw a bunch of stuff i could remove to save weight. Here is what it looked like.

Thats when my chassis builder said we cant have this. The hippy Mr.Hallstyle him self has brought me up to date with some of this space age carbon fiber stuff. This is the 2nd hand cut carbon chassis that John has made. He built himself one about a month ago now i am stoked to get the only other one out there. Here is a pic of my old chassis and its weight at 115.9g

and the new and improved Hallstyle and its weight at 65.4g

Thats where i saved most of the weight.

A few shots of the sickest chassis out there.

So with the new chassis i figured i needed to move the electronics out of the chassis. So i got Jake to come give me a hand redoing them. He Made everything nice and tight.
OLD look

1.96oz is what they weighed

new and improved at 1.38oz
