I am thinking we ran them out of parts :D

I ordered a bunch of stuff. The gear boxes didnt come with bearings or even a ball for their 3 link mount. I ordered a bunch of gears too and they are all back ordered. I was told to expect 2 week wait up to 4. Gear boxes and plastic gears are all out of stock.

I know I ordered a bunch of cases and plastic gears. I may order more come this weekend. Just for the sake of stocking them in a huge pile. Gearscience and I and going Dutch on all orders of MT gear cases and gears. We're the only berg guys in west Michigan that I know of, my truck isnt done yet:evil:

Thanks Farmer,
I hope to have a roller by the end of the month. I really want to see these cases.
That's what is holding me back on my build. I want to try front and rear plastic cases with berg gears front and MT plastic rear, but really want to try plastic front gears as well.

Btw the berg link mount is a different bolt pattern than the mt link mount.

And a different offset! I think it will be better to use the dlux mount, or modify the MT mount!"thumbsup"

It makes it a 1/4 inch offset, not incredibly bad considering the mt mount isn't centered either. :lmao:

Also I had a question for anybody to answer, what's a berg long tube length? I'm thinking of getting 2 long tubes to keep my super width.

Without the chubs, I already machined the stock berg chubs off and can get you that measurement. It's rough 3.785 without chubs give or take.

Re: New gearbox and gear options

Alright, so around 4, 4.25 with chubs?

Just enough to know its off. I probably wont know an exact number until I build one.

Definitely not today. I wont even have the adapters until late and then I need to go over everything to make sure everything works.

They are on my website now (out of stock). I will try and go over them tonight and hopefully start shipping by Wed. I have too much going on right now and need to get caught up on some stuff.

Can't wait to see these parts.
This could open up another avenue for berg mods.
The electrician finished the job, so the CNC has power now. Going to be doing some basic cuts tonight.
Thinking some mods for these boxes or pieces to make them light and strong might be in the future. Maybe a brace or two...

Re: New gearbox and gear options

Adapters in hand and after a test fit, they appear to work great on the Berg gears.

It looks like they will work with Berg small, MT large but I need to do some machine work first. I will try and get to this tomorrow.

The adapters came to me with some moisture. This left a lot of spots on them. I am going to start tumbling them now and they should be ready to ship in a couple of days. If you could care less about the finish, just order away and let me know you want everything shipped.

The adapters are somewhat in limited numbers until I can see what kind of demand we are looking at. The good news is that now that we know they are done and working, getting more should be quick and easy. There may be a small delay between orders and getting more. Just the nature of the beast on new products. Please be patient.

As of now, I have very few amounts that can be shipped with bearings. I should have more bearings to ship when the adapters are done tumbling and should have all orders shipped out by the end of this week, for sure.

These are for sale on my website under the "Berg" section.

Nimyad 02-05-2013 08:25 AM

Re: New gearbox and gear options

So when you order the adapters ($8) is that 2 adapters? And them if you add the conversion bearing that's 2 bearings, unless you order them all?

Erik D_lux 02-05-2013 11:32 AM

Re: New gearbox and gear options

I decided to sell the adapters with the bearings necessary for conversion. This will save time and headaches.

If you make a purchase, it will come with enough adapters and bearings to convert 1 gear box.

As an option, you can also upgrade the rest of the bearings in the gearbox that are not necessary for conversion.

The last option is for running MT large gears vs. Berg large gears.
