JB, have you got a photo of your battery mount?

I secured the battery mount with a screw into the link mount. The screw is covered with the Velcro.

It's been a very long time without an update. I have been so incredibly happy with my set up that I don't change a thing. The parts that I get from RcBro are top notch. Over the last year and a half the only thing I have changed is I got some new RcBro carbon fiber wheels that look sweet. Here are some photos from our comp over the weekend.

Wow it’s been along time since I’ve done an update. I went years with very little changes and it became time to replace some parts due to natural wear and tear.I needed new speed controllers and motors so I feel the only option was ordering some Homes Hobbie’s ESC’s and 400 13T puller motors.
In the meantime ordering some new parts I was able to get my hands on a set of aluminum fighter axles. Man these things are gorgeous. I decided to use the aluminum fighter rear axle. The overall width was narrower than my current set up which I didn’t like. This is where I had Tom make me some new tubes so I can have my overall width back. Tom can add the technical detail about the tubes, but they are sweet and holding up.
The only other change that I can think of is I gave up on the 7075 aluminum lower links and went back to titanium links. I was consistently bending the lower aluminum links which was getting old.
Here are a few pictures from earlier today.

Looks good! What bearing did you fit in the end of the new tubes?
Double snap ring for retainers or...?

I pressed in brass stock for bushings.... No bearing.

We will see how it holds up.

Since the tube threads into the gear case, you install the axle shaft into the tube, then thread into the gear case.

Gotcha.
Did you machine the inner threads onto the tubing or did you find a .375” .5mm pitch die to use?
I am sure you can see how fun it was to stuff 7mm shafts in there... :ror:

very nice build. really like the time put into it and the red and alum polish n black. looks great. want to do that to mine. also cudos on dying threads on chromoly

may I ask, I'm a bit confused here, this is much bigger or at least a lot wider than standard berg axles. so is this still a 2.2 ? and do you find it to perform better being larger?
I ask because I built a super but had a tough time finding terrain that providing near fun results with my 2.2 berg.
What do you suggest for front axles on the cheap?
Thank you
Nice write up"thumbsup"

Wow. Sweet Wheel.
Where can I get the adaptor and wheel?
I'm searching, but nothing found yet.

Beerman ;" Harley adapter so I can mount a 1.9 wheel to my 4pl. Tom also got a sweet VP Method wheel.

Love to add something like that on my cusomt DX6i
