Yup, -20 for course and two -10 bonuses per course.

Ok, so let's get this thread caught up.

So I changed from the double agent to the Sudu pro chassis. I was able to use my existing links which was cool. The Sudu is more of a 60/40 setup classis, but the links I had were 50/50. This just meant my shock location was a little different than intended, but I am still very happy with how it turned out.

The chassis feels great. With the new chassis I put some new shock oil in. 45wt in the rear and 40wt up front. I brought the spring collars all the way up to where there was no preload on the spring, but they were just sitting on the top. Suspension feels great now. Feels like the shocks are doing the work, not the springs.

So let's recap,

First comp/ first run with the Sudu pro. Went extremely well. Courses were very tough all day. During the change I also went to super narrow voodoos in the rear. They felt great. Made squeezing through gates that much easier.

Here was the video from the comp. Its a combo of my sporty, super, and pro runs.. Thanks ChrisB

And here were the scores again:

Pics from the comp will be coming soon.

Im pretty sure the Double agent was designed to be a 40/60 chassis too.

Yes, I believe so as well. But with the adjustable shock arms it has, it can be run either way.

NMRCC

We have a stickied thread in the New Mexico section. Currently we do not have the individual comp scores or season totals posted. We have two more comps, then I will be running all the numbers. Should be 3-4 weeks and I will have all those numbers figured out.

What classes have had sufficient participation to be eligible for Nats qualification?

Are any of NMRCC attending the AZ shootout?

Cheers,

J

Average drivers are:
7 pro (up to 10)
8 spo (up to 11)
4 super
10 1.9 trail (up to 25)
10 2.2 trail (up to 15)

I think maybe 10 of us will be attending the shootout this year

Here were the pics from our last comp.

And then my little bit of popping.. Turned into a lot of popping. Field repairs!!

And that's about where my day ended. I started the last courses so I didn't get a +50.. By far my worst comp ever. But Owell, it is fixed now, and I a, ready to rock for AZ. We had our season closer this past weekend.. When those pics surface I will post them.

Here were the disastrous scores..

What was the cause of your popping?

The milled out area for the second gear on the motor side plate had worn. When I would go forward it disengaged it from the other gears.

Dlux's new plates feature an aluminum bearing holder attached to the plate. Everything is all smooth now.

I was always worried about that tiny little ridge holding in that bearing. I pretty sure I tried CA gluing that bearing in place, or a least give a little extra to hold him still.
I have a new set of those plates which I need to install!

thanks for the motivation!

How'd the gears hold up to the abuse?

Shit happens sometimes. I too hate when it's all in one comp. Good luck for you to AZ!
