My guess would be similar to Miramar, maybe not quite so grippy being right on the beach with the sand.

According to Wade, a lot of it is more grippy than Miramar. Especially when you get a little further up away from the sand.

Oh yeah, on a side note, the northern spot that he found years ago isn't there anymore. The rocks have been moved or buried.

Yes, coquina is not the same as miramar. It's more like sandpaper.

Miramar is also coquina, must be a different variety.

That stuff has alot more grip than Miramar.

Problem is that you guys have burnt all the traction off from those rocks down there.

But seriously, the spot is pretty awesome, and I see myself spending more time out there once it starts cooling down a bit.

We oughtta see about holding one of the state comps out there - sometime before it starts getting hot again.

I think some time next month I'm gonna head out there for some practice, anyone else interested? It would pretty much have to be a saturday or sunday, but I might be able to make a friday work if there is enough interest.

Sweet!

By the way, I spotted another stretch of rock about 1/4 mile south of the spot we crawled. There is an empty lot with space for maybe 3 cars just on the other side of it, but it's in the middle of a neighborhood so I dunno if anyone would have an issue with us parking there.

Time to dig this old thread up. It's been a while since I hit this spot up so I'm heading down there saturday morning w/ my berg, a couple bags of gates, (and maybe my slash too).

If anyone else is interested in meeting up, just gimme a shout.
