Here is something i tried in my crawler and the first thing i thought was formula offroad. Mamba max ESC, 4600 KV brushless, max amps 7.4 6000 MAH. Geared : 15 tooth pinion stock spur.

1/4 throttle

1/2throttle

Just under full throttle

Sweet What set-up do you have ?

The wheels looks to wide for the Sand Paw

I cut an old body for the side and roof (the bonnet ?? need new one, same colour as sidepanel)
Can you tell, what body I used
Sand Paw tires

And with Mudslinger 2.2

I had an extended wheelbase/brushless setup on mine for months. I beat the crap out of it and held up pretty well. I think using the stock tires helped, since they spun alot and eased the stress on the drivetrain. Eventually the slipper clutch failed, and one of the ring gears went buh bye, but that was from being extremely abusive to it. With the right mods, it should be fine. Alloy trans gears, Maxx shafts, and properly shimmed diffs will help with durability. BL Wheely Kings are a blast! I say go for it
