You'll want to rough up the plating on the frame to help the primer stick to it. I actually used a grinder with a roloc pad to remove the nickel plate from the sides of the rails on mine.

I got some 320 grit sanding sponges to sand/scuff the frame up with not sure i have to take all the plating off just get it roughed up good. Frame is going to be ford dark blue with a purple body. I like to be different. Did you guys paint the spring hangars to? Also going to paint the floor in some places and front fenders black. |

With that being said, RPP is great and they will take care of you. Their customer service is great and so is their shipping speed, in most cases. Good choice going with the HobbyWing WP 1080. It's an awesome ESC. I have no experience with the TorqueMaster motor, but I'm a big fan of my CrawlMaster. | |

Kit is here finally. Got the frame painted and the body cut out. Wow that was a pain it aint great but. After watching a few sawback build videos i installed the motor before i mounted it. Forgot to order the radio so gonna be a few weeks till i can finish it and run it Should be able to post a few pics tomorrow. Only issue i have is they forgot 2 springs for the shocks so i made 2 out of ball point pen springs see how long they last. |

I am thinking about that. I did take the over spray cover off but could tape it up. Thinking silver.

Was thinking same, kinda cool, but I'd back it with silver and then a quick shot of black. |
