That grass did a lot for your course. The course was already awesome, but the grass gives it a really nice look.

I like it. So do you lay stuff down and then pour the crete over it, or strictly mold it?

yea i laid some cinder blocks down and a few 2x4s and other pieces of scrap wood then covered it with some burlap and laid some high strength concrete on it my neighbor got from one of his construction sites. never used it before so i hope it dries okay.

Gotcha.

Ever thought about laying some larger sized rocks into the cement while its drying, kind of like you would do for a rock chimney?

trust me if i had some larger rocks i would def. lay some in the concrete. i put some small rocks in the concrete i put down today. i wish i had more rocks for the course but they arent easy to come by around here unless you pay for em or get lucky and know somebody who is willing to give em up for a greater cause lol

dirt is good, u could shape rocks with it an use concrete to make it more permanent.

i was outback trying to think of where i want to put my foam rocks. im gonna cement them to a fixed location. was going to put them on the tope of the mountain but its so narrow im not sure if i want to do that.

Nice, looks good and technical.

Any advice on the elevated part you have? Im thinking of doing one about a foot tall, maybe 3' x 6'

i try to go up in levels and make the burlap as tight as possible so it doesnt sag once i lay the concrete on it. i try not to make too many right angles that are really tall so its challenging but not impossible. if you have a ton of sand or dirt you could shape it that way and gently put the concrete on it. i didnt have too many rocks to incorporate on the mountain but i tried to strategically place the natural rocks.
build it in levels instead of going straight up. itll make it possible to have more lines to take.
if you can make a frame out of wood, then add other peices of wood that stick up so it isnt so rigid and boxy looking. i used some cinder blocks and 2x4s at the base always use more concrete at the bottom or high impact areas. i probably didnt cover all areas so if you have any questions just ask and ill try to answer the best i can.
