front was slipping really bad... Just replaced the front o-ring and cut the wires to the hi/low motor.(I don't want any accidental switching of gears) I am also running 7oz of weight in each front tire.(Works great if your a stock body lover.)and I am. |

I cut it this morning.... It looks pretty good... I cut it at an angle so I still had material for the hose clamp. I just need to attach a cover of some kind.(it will probably be the same as the front shave and my TT) I will take some pictures tonight and post |

why would you move the motor outside the rear axle that looks like a wreck waiting to happen what about eliminating the gear selector motor shave the back of the axle and then turn it around and swap the wires on the motor...wouldn't that do the same?

no.... I will have the front and the back of that real axle shaved... The motor sits on top of the axle because thats the best place for it to be out of the way.(The whole point is to gain clearence in the front and back of the axle so it does not hit before the wheels do.)

Here are the are the pics of the back part of the rear axle shave. I am hoping it will be a big help when backing ou t of rocks, trying to find a better line.. I know it will just be a matter of time before I follow Jeep's lead and mod out the front. |

its tough to drive and hold a video camera... It IS top heavy... I have to remount my springs but I don't want to give up my jeep body(yet). The rear axle rear shave was a big problem I noticed when I was wheeling .. that and when I did the trailing arm screw move.. It made the thing weak and my wheels started twisting under my body.. I plastic welded the crap out of it... should be fine now.. I want to lower the whole thing about 1-2" and install my savage shocks to the front....I am happy with the rear end for now... at least until I 4 link it.

no way.... I REALLLLY dont like how the 1/10 scale bodies look... The only way I would change it is if I found a lighter 1/6 scale body....
