Default S-Dog's Build

......and I love this thing...

I equate it to polishing a turd... they are good over all rock crawlers.. but don't even come close to hobby grade.... and we spend all of our time fixing all of the flaws it has (which BTW is almost as fun as ACTUALLY crawling) and its still just ok... I LOVE THESE THINGS!!

So anyways....

although I dont have any pictures right now(I will post up hopefully tonight)
I wanted to list out the mods I have/are in the process of doing...

right now I have:

a TT
the tires reversed and cut
bb's in the front (7oz each)
spings swapped front to back
inboarded rear shocks
horizontally mounted battery(I would go with a FF battery but I have 5 stock ones)
moved the wheelbase back
cut the rear wheel well for newly lenghtened wheelbase
and the most important mod of all..... fully painted(this mod alone added 1-2" of articulation)

I am in the process of:

shaving my rear axle (its shaved and covered with on electronics put back in yet)
locking it in low
moving the motor to the back of the axle

In the mail:

8 savage shocks for 10.50 on ebay WOOHOO!!

My wife laughs at me buying a new toy and chooping it up...but I really havent hed this much funfor a while...and this is a great forum with good peeps helping each other out...

Pics to come.............

Scott

i got an atomik silver with blue flame bodie on the way : )

Nor should it for $49.00!
(or even $99.00, or $119.00, or $149.00.........)

And just think....you can have a spare EVERYTHING for another $49.00!

Actually, I have not done anything to ours. Just charged the battery and have been crawling ever since!

(oops, I did reverse and cut the two front tires)

I like the stock body. It takes a beating and the rollcage makes a nice handle.

I love doing the mods... and its a capable crawler... I was just talking about the flaws that keep it from being a GREAT crawler

...BTW the only way i would ever change the body is if I can find another scale body... I love the look....and the rollcage as a carrying handle is priceless if it runs outa juice and your not close to your car

........in the ghetto

I saw what a bunch of people did with their rear axle shave and decided that an overlap would be the best....

yep slammed ur right, u see how he has screws sticking out, i dont even have srcews in the underlip so that i dont get stuck as much. it buts up against it so it doesnt flex though and then i curved the platic edge so that there wouldnt be an edge that would get caught

i know i need pix, and they will be up when the jbweld hardens and i get all my pix that i want and im also gonna put my dragster and corvette in the back ground (just to show yall what i do when im not crawling)

real deal, a 230 in. dragster wit a 468 big block and rons injection system 13:1 pistons and aluminum heads that runs 5.25 at 130 mph in the 8th and the vette has a 477 short block and is in need of more shizzle, so i havent run it yet but it should run around 6.00's at 118 mph give or take a tenth, at least
