Which brings me to a question I have had for a long time... Why do so many people put the steering linkage so darn far out on the servo horn? Since speed isn't an issue, why not tuck it in as far as possible? It's exactly like gearing down. As long as you can go lock-to-lock the pickup point on the servo horn should be in as far as possible. I use the closest hole on the smallest horn on my TXT-1 and I get full lock and probably 3x the torque you have there. |

Thanks Bark. What I actually need to do is probably start a new thread. Have a few things I am tinkering with and changing on the truck. Someone else suggested starting a new thread instead of posting in this one. Majority of people don't wanna weed through this one to find updates if any. Be nice if when I did do updating I could reflect that in the title. Oh well. Thanks again for the kind comments! |

I just saw this thread and it just wasn't long enough yet so I thought I would add a reply... Thanks a lot, I now wasted a night of working on my project by drooling over this one! I am almost embarrassed to post the build up of my crawler after seeing this one. Truly awesome!
