Default Scratch crawler info

Im new to crawlers and want to build one from scratch. Are there any good updated threads or sites that can help with this. Im pretty sure im wanting to use berg axels and maybe the UGC stingray or Chaotic smash chassis (haven't made up my mind yet on those). If you could build a "money is no option" crawler, what would you use? Ive noticed a lot of things ive been looking at parts wise aren't made anymore. Im not trying for a scaler though. Looking forward to reading your responses. Thanks ahead of time for those who reply.

One thing is for sure: What "I" would use wouldn't be fit for you.

"Money is no option" means "must be available for free", so use what you have at hand.

If, on the other hand, money was not an issue I'd stock up on dozens of different makes/models for each part. That way I could feel my way through to find out what works best for me in each situation.

The only person that can possibly say what's "best" for you is you yourself. To get there you need experience from driving and adjusting your rig.
The best advice I can give a beginner is to get a complete runner, off the shelf or used, and then use that as a starting point for modifications.

Thanks for the honest opinion and answer. I went looking for a kit and found a berg tracer v3 kit with wheels and tires. I also found some good threads on here about that one as well. Looking forward to building it and then learning to drive slow and technical...im used to driving fast with a losi xxx buggy.
