All 2.2's are way to wide for a good scale look so I took an inch out of the center of the Claw Dawgs. Much better looking narrowed.

Default More pics.

New pics. In the first you can see the skid plates on the axles that keep the axles from getting hung up on rocks. The next one showes the tight space I had to place all the radio gear. from left to right you can see the receiver thats on top of the ESC. In the middle you can see the heat sink with and electric cooling fan mounted to it and in yellow is the 9.6v pack that runs only the motors. The last shot is of the full chassie. You can see the skid plates on the axles plus you can see the blue center link from the stock suspension. Sorry for the bad pics but my phone seems to take better pics than my dig. camera.

Default Extra! Extra! Read all about it!

Update: Been doing some work to make my Scorp. unstopable! Some of the things I've posted in this thread but heres a recap.

No more high/low switch on both axles plus I shaved the crap out of the housings.

Got a Traxxas 2055 servo for $10 and put that in the front. Not enough power but don't want to spend $$$$ on a high torque servo.

Moved the wheel base from 10" to 10.5" and it made a world of difference. Soon I will have a radio control mountain goat wearing a Scorpion body.

Thorn, what did you use to paice the tires back together after you cut the inch out of the middle, and same with the rims?

That is one sweet looking rig by the way!

keep the pic's coming. The more I see the more ideas I get, but I am still learning and I think it will be awhile before I will able to do some of the mods on your truck.

I used plain old Super Glue to put the tires back together. To this day they have not come apart or started to split @ the seam. With the wheels I used Plastic Weld. Its a two part glue that you can get almost any where. It comes in a black two chamber syringe and sets up in a few minutes.
