Need input on a comp shafty 2.2 build ?

I'm ready to build a comp. shafty 2.2 & would really appreciate any help I can get. I want to order all the parts A.S.A.P. If you were going to build a new shafty for comps on a budget of a $1,000.oo or less what would you use? Except for the servo & radio I need everything form chassis to tires including hardware, spacers, & bearings. I was hoping someone would provide me with a list of parts, part #s, & were to buy them. Any info anyone provides will be greatly appreciated.

what I think the parts should be the next 50 guys wouldn't. I would suggest search, read, and read some more. get an idea of what people are running, pick the parts you like best, and start building.

Sort of agree with the two posts above.
The most important detail is to get a crawler that fits YOU and your driving.
You build that based primarily on your personal driving experiences.

You know what you have and how it behaves. Then isolate each perceived issue and find solutions for them, one by one.

If you start with neither a rig nor experience you have pretty much three good starter options:
* A used competition rig, preferably sold complete with everything.
* An Axial AX10 Deadbolt (RTR).
* A Losi Night Crawler (RTR).
The two latter are not very competitive out of box, but will be once you've upgraded them in the direction you want.
