Heres a quick update::

Can you tell whats missing from this picture?

You guessed it! That big hunky plastic tummy!

Also, I cut off the rear control arm supports, and relocated the front ones about a half inch down. My shockboots are falling out at full flex.. need to fix this.

Okay, so, are you still in suspense over my last comment? (new body coming in the mail?)

Secrets out! I just got a 1:6 Nikko Jeep Rescue off of ebay. This thing looks like a lot of fun (and better yet is going to be easier to make look realistic!) However, I may keep the old 2wd chassis that it sits on since it has digital proportional control and ultra soft tires.

Thanks for following my thread guys! I will be starting a new one soon for the rescue, but I am not going to abandon my Grand Cherokee.

WKCrawler I like your video, this crawler has a beautiful appearance and your new ((1:6 Nikko Jeep Rescue)) will not pass unperceived.

You know its funny looking back to the beginning of this thread where I clearly state that I don't have any intentions of modifying the chassis. LOL. That plan went straight out the window.

But at this time, I am not planning on shaving the rear axle. I still havent gotten a chance to formally (that is, on worthy terrain) test it with the tummy tuck. It looks really cool tho. Can't wait til its nice enough to take it outside (currently 10 degrees with a wind chill of like -30)

Thanks for the comments!

anything that carries the name "jeep" has the virus within. You've been bitten. The TT will not be the last.....

I totally agree. Just Empty Every Pocket. I did not realize this applied to EVERYTHING bearing the Jeep name tho.. haha.

I bought my 96 Grand Cherokee for like 2 grand (what a steal) and I've already put 2 times as much into it in mods. lol.

You know whats weird.. I just bought some inferno red touch up paint.. For a toy.. lolol.

My wife keeps telling me I am one, and so I know what one is. And I know it when I see it in other people. You, WKCrawler, most certainly are one. So, as an already-confirmed-by-my-wife member, I hereby grant you membership into the group of heathen men, named, most affectionally by our wives it seems...

Yeah when i first got mine i had planned on leaving it totally stock except putting a roof on the scorpion body, i was even afraid to take the rear axle to fix the gear shifter once...then i got tired of it being stock. my first actual mod was removing the skidplates, then extending the wheelbase, then inboarding the rear shocks, then cutting the tires, then shaving the rear axle, then tummy tucking it, along with countless aesthetic mods. I've had 4 bodies, and 2 different sets of tires too.

Some quick shots. Nothing really cool since my backyard was a sheet of ice. It LOOKS like snow.. But its all frozen solid. No crawling. just poser shots.

Okay. So I didn't realize just HOW BAD my camera was until I took some pics today using my sister's digital camera.

Just wanted to share since I don't believe my camera did my WK justice.

Damn dude, that thing just gets more wicked every time I see it. Tell me that wasn't a jeep grill you drove over in the video, haha.

Also, you better do that Rescue body justice, that thing is bad-***.

Yup, that was a spare grille I have for my ZJ. haha. It tested the Nylint's articulation just like strategically placed tree-stumps!

Ya, I am looking for ideas for the Rescue. I was actually thinking about making it into a 4 door Wrangler, but thats just something I'm tossing around. It is mounted up though! Theres a link to the build in my sig.
