Default Redcat

What is the deal with people hatin on redcat

Just because it isn’t name brand people shun it and keep it at arms length
Honestly if it brings people to the hobby as a starter kit

How is that not a good thing ?

And then people can upgrade from there

Back in the day I remember my first car was radio shack crap and then I really got involved with the hobby and as a kid spending my hard earned money on a RC10 gold pan kit and built it myself thought me to build and respect what I had
Kits now are mostly all RTR which is fine but it doesn’t teach anything to anyone
People now buy a RTR and after a while of running it and they break it they loose interest because they cannot fix it and also because they spent over $300.00 dollars on it

Every one is so quick to judge

And believe me I get it

Redcat =ford pinto

Traxxas.
HPI. = mid to high grade
Losi.
Team Associated.

Axiel
Mugen. =. High end

I say redcat is a good thing for people just getting into the hobby.

I also recently bought a gen 7 and it is honestly quite possibly more well rounded than my scx10 I got rid of

Yeah I am looking to get rid of my MOA xr10 mantis to get a gen 7 pro

But I can’t post it for sale here and CL people have no idea what it is and try to dwindle me down to nothing. I am so tired of trying to sell it just to get my GEN7PRO

The gen 7 is extremely capable just needs a little more flex

I never had any interest in Redcat until the Gen7 came out. It's the only Redcat I own. I still don't really have any interest in their other stuff, but I LOVE the Gen7.

Don't take the hating personal. You get a lot of tough love here.
I started with an rs10 and in my opinion it was a great entry level rig. But thats what they are, an affordable way into the hobby.
