I'm always excited to see something new come to market. In the latest picture, the body seems kinda narrow compared to the track width, so my curiosity is sparked.

Agree, spend a few more $$ on upgraded materials and parts, up the price a bit. It would be money well spent

To play devils advocate, I don’t mind the budget friendly options either. There isn’t much axial left in my 10.2 outside of rails, some axle internals, transmission, and skid plate.

But it would be nice if there were rtr options available with the good stuff.

Exactly! Releasing the same thing over and over and over again isn't going to generate hype or excitement.

I think that's an excuse that fans make for Axial. Horizon's budget brand is ECX and Vaterra. So why the hell is Axial making budget vehicle especially at the price points they are asking?

I would love to see a "Factory Team" style Axial kit in any form. The builder's kit could easily have usable shocks (all plastic?! come on) and metal link balls at the very least. It'd be nice if Axial had a first-party AR44 axle option that was higher end as well.

Rather than have high end Axial branded parts available they just rely on The aftermarket to take up their slack.

Good plastics, metal hollow balls, and usable shocks should be in the standard kit! People have just gotten so used to Axial's shortcomings that they forgive them. To me, these things are and always will be unacceptable. Axial just needs to upgrade their quality to the level of the competition.

Compare the Axial products to anything from a mainstream brand - Losi, Vaterra, HPI, Traxxas, etc. Axial lags behind.

Traxxas came into the scaler market and upped the game in terms of quality and what you get for your money. A $340 TRX-4 Sport kit absolutely embarrasses the SCX10 II Cherokee kit in terms of quality and what you get for the money and they cost the same in the real world!

I may be a broken record repeating this same stuff, but it's the way I'll think until Horizon grabs Axial by the horns and directs it where it needs to be.

Sentiments similar mine are now starting to appear on Axial's Facebook page. When the mainstream starts turning against the brand it's a bad thing. And that appears to slowly be happening. People are fed up being fed the same leftovers time and time again.

As it should be. Do we really want more $45 axial branded c hubs to compete against $35 Vanquish or $30 SSD? Let axial design and the aftermarket can and will take it from there.

Jato we get it, you don't like axial's way of doing things, cool. Now shut up about it

Axials designs are better by a large margin but their execution lacks. Great, stock sucks anyway so let the small companies unfawk their junk.

I really like Axial stuff.

The main reason for this is aftermarket support.

I can get all sorts of trick upgrades for every Axial I own.
- Bomber with carbon fibre rails for example.

I also live in Australia so parts for anything thats not Axial or Traxxas are scarce.

Another reason is the used market. I like to buy used crawlers off ebay and local forums, then bling them up with the aftermarket.

Personally I am hoping for something I have to go and buy, simply because i cant build it from used parts....

fingers crossed haha..

I'm in Australia too but I rarely rely on our local hobby shops as the range, pricing and postage is outrageous. Personally, I'm waiting on the SSD release as axial is far too expensive for what you get.

Same. I almost bought an ECX 1/24 the other day to replace my Losi Micro. Glad I waited. Now I can get this to match my deadbolt

Me too. I'm saving my money for another kit that's about to hit the market.

Also, I'm laughing at the people on Axial's FB page that were convinced that this thing had portal axles.
