Default How fast do you destroy your body?

I'm just curious, for those of you running abs bodies, how long before
You start breaking the body? I've modded a
Hilux body(drop bed, doved front and rear) and I have played with it only a handful of times and needless to say I have broken it up pretty bad. I know my truck is heavy and if I roll I don't really jump to catch it, I just let it go. Maybe it's time to look into an exo

Love the detaling you can do on a hard-body, but gotta love the bounce factor of lexan. I tumbled my rig down a 30 foot bank today. A hard body would have been smashed up but my lexan body was fine.

I have my windshield glued in place. It helps to strengthen the pillars and roof.

My JK was cracking the front hood, A and C pillars, etx. I added a delrin and alum roof rack which helped. I reinforce the underside of the hood lines with styrene square tubing.
Then it pushed me to learn to braze. Now it has stainless rod running fro the hood, up and back along the roof rack.

Now both my other rigs have partial or full exo's. It helps save the Bruder, Nikko and New Bright bodies I am running. ......and it's another great way to spend more money on this hobby

My F150 Nikko body still was cracking a mirror off taking part of the door with it. I ran a delrin rod mirror to mirror on the inside to transfer the impact from falls and hard rolls. It was easier there because of the dark glass and no interior.
One of my winter proj. is to put an interior and clear glass in that one which will be fun to try and incorporate the cross-bar back into it.
