| Any chance a MOA could work on a scaler?
So I have build that I did before the Axial Wraith came out. I used RC4WD Raptor MOA axles. I'm upgrading to the RC4WD Super Bully axles that are at a custom lenght to get the width that I need. As a build goes it is awesome to look at and with the new axles it should perform well also. I'm going to paint the front axle so that it down't stand out. Will I be able to pull it off? Has anyone tried this? |

define what a "scaler" represents for you !? I personally have never seen a motor driven axle on any 1:1 that I'm aware of. ^ a motor driven e locker is not a drive motor. and trailers with assisting drive motors don't count. Will it work... sure and probably even better then a shaft driven rig might. But is it to scale with anything that exists in real life ? No For me... a scale replication build requires an attempt to replicate or duplicate a real, existing 1:1 rig, in every possible aspect. ^ including body, interior, chassis, drive train, wheels and tires. A scale looking body slapped atop just any chassis. Does not make it a scale replication IMO Could it still look scale like ? of course... as long as it's not being judged in competition. If I were to build a MOA... it would be more for driving competition, fun and less so for any serious scale competition. ------------- I'll suppose that's ^ not what you wished to hear. but... it is, what it is. I say build it... as long as scale replication/judgement is not your primary interest/goal. Bet you'll have fun with it regardless |

I have scale builds that are very scale right down to a scale motor sitting under the hood. I want this build to look scale but have performance that has people scrathing there heads and wanting to see how it's made. I have builds that are shaft drive buggies that will smoke this build but they are also not all that scale. But they are tough and about as much fun as your going to have with your cloths on. As El Taco said, build it for the enjoyment of it. My first non kit build was with doner axles from a Clodbuster I hadn't used since the late 80's. It's about as scale above the axles as I ever wanted and I had a blast doing it. You will too! |

Any chance this has been asked before? Sure. MOA scaler? I just google searched "MOA Scaler" and found several results and pictures. 1tuff40's 40 series 2.2 scaler You'll get more out of life by applying yourself rather than asking help of others. |

| Re: Any chance a MOA could work on a scaler? You asked, "Has anyone tried this?" I opened up a google search page, clicked on Images and typed "MOA Scaler". I answered that question in 7.5 seconds for you with two results that took me back to RCC. I am just stating the fact that you could have answered your own questions with a little bit of internet searching, that is all.
