Yes, a kit with the option for leaf springs.

Here it is driven hard. Is surprising the windshield holds for it.

Holy cow! I like this durability test video. Maybe it will be a good truck after all...

I can say from experience that my Hasbro 1/6th scale Jerp wouldn't hold up as well to that kind of abuse.

They had made a mistake in an order and got it as an excuse, however, a while ago.

Man, it sure rolls easily. A tad top heavy perhaps?

I live in China so mine arrived Friday a day after it shipped. I had one of the original GI Joe Jeeps & always wanted to get one for my son to play so after seeing FMS' release, I went for the pre-order. Considering the price, I wasn't expecting anything more than toy grade but overall am happy with it. 8)

Detailing is excellent & build quality very good. Body & detail parts are injected ABS, steel frame, drive train metal & nylon. Dealer I purchased from said main gears are nylon, other smaller gears steel. At only 4kg, its half the weight of my Hummer so I expect it will be a bouncy house on wheels. Foam case is a nice touch & a direct copy of HG's.

Radio is so so or as we say here, mamahuhu. Had a few glitches getting the RX/TX to sync but once bound works fine. Given the price, I expected cheap but happy to see it comes with a 4 channel RX. Clark Model already is planning to release a board with accurate engine & 0.50cal sounds.

Some things, like the tall windscreen look wonky or, as I expected, were done to keep costs low so I expect to see the aftermarket guys getting to work on this one. The tow hook needs some work - the cast aluminum hook on my HG Hummer is much more accurate & will hold up to use.

Canvas top, 0.50 cal & aluminum bumpers are shown to be optional accessories to be offered later.

Initial impressions are quite good except for the suspension which is far too soft. With on figures sitting inside, it bottoms out & can't even carry one figure while in motion without lurching around like a drunken sailor on liberty so will need to change the shock springs. Shocks appear to be 80mm stock. Am considering changing to leaf springs so looking around to see what fits. Its no wonder all the drive videos on FMS' site or Facebook page neglect to show it in action with any figures onboard.

Driving impression: Not bad, very responsive driving through around the house. Am looking forward to getting outdoors shortly & putting it through its paces.

Being new here, I can't post photos but you can see mine over at RCG:

A buddy in LA who owns a 1/1 scale '43 MB is already working on STLs for the trailer so should be a fun project for mods.

Would be interested in hearing other's opinions and upgrade plans.

Overall test drive in grass wasn't bad with & without figure. Hadn't had chance to take out into dirt but overall pleased. Can only get better with proper shocks. More details & photos:

Looks good ... Looking forward to receiving mine.
Where did you find it with later aluminum bumper?

Aluminum bumpers are shown as options in the manual parts list. Have no idea if & when - FMS hasn't replied questions nor does my dealer know.

Yes the steering wheel turns but it was also one of the first of two things to break after the initial run. Could well have been my 5 year who did it - he's already broken one of the canopy poles at the hinge joint.
