Great pictures and wondering how you are liking the ROC Hobby vs Gmade? I am working on a Gmade now but the Roc Hobby looks very impressive.

I have my sawback dialed in so tight that it can compete with the best of them so I really really like it. It is also more durable. The ROC willys has so many sweet little add on's that you are terrified to scrape a rock or a tree branch for fear of something getting ripped off. So... one is the one I use to really enjoy challenging myself on and the other purely for show and trail running. If I had money to burn, I might buy a second one and turn it into something more comp style like the sawback is. I do miss leaf springs though on this new one. That should have been a choice tbh.

Thank you for the honest review. I have been working out of town so hadn't had time to finish my sawback. I really wanted an accurate willys model but had no idea the Roc Hobby existed when I ordered my sawback. I am planning on finishing it soon with some minor updates but with my beginner level of experience I will not be able to match the scale of the Roc Hobby. Yours is awesome and I will follow your updates.

Some who have seen what people have changed to Shock absorbers ?? Or is it just okay to screw the standart all together ?? I plan to drive with one figure in the car

I have all 4 of the springs as tight as they will go and they are still not enough for the weight of the figures. I will be looking at probably adding pre-load springs to each one next to see how that goes.

These ROC Hobby Wyllys look KILLER. And the price isn't too bad to get here in the States.

If they extend the Unenjoyment due to this corunabeer virus. I'll be getting one.

Easy and fun.
It's just a simple modification of the seat.
The posture of the driver is important.:)

This seems like a great project vehicle for sure.
I have 2 MB willys, not together but the big scale is neat.

For Europeans:

Actually BG has the Willy in stock in EU Warehouses in CZ and ES, and using a 20% off coupon you get it for about 200 € incl. shipment (205 ES, 196 CZ).

Guess, only people from German Rockcrawler Forum bought more than 10 since yesterday evening, including myself ;)
