Well actually the clearance is only an issue on my preferred front pinion angle. If you drop the pinion down it should clear but will require a different motor plate...most likely we will offer it either way. Parts are done and we are pulling hardware so I can add this monster to our online store. Dig is following closely behind. |
cant find it on the online store...have all parts waiting to go into this build! awesome job! cant wait to unleash some WK on the mobs of axials here |
count me in on that one everyone here has a axial. cant wait to show them that a wk can kick some a** to! when will it be on the store site? mine is waiting for the chassis to. |
Billet alum or derlin? Ok I was on the store site and only seen this offered in alum, will it be offered in delrin like the proto type was made from? |
where did you see it? i looked for it again thinking i missed it and still didnt see it. i saw the other wk chassis setup. but not this one. |

pretty sure thats the old chasiss they make...not this one. i think everyone wants it in derlin...so sexy black...."thumbsup" |
Yeah, the kit in our store is the billet WK chassis kit. We are still pulling links and hardware together for this kit. Sorry it's taking so long...but I'd rather take our time and have it right. All the rest of the components are ready to go. We are recommending a 4-500 cobalt puller or a 480 sized 1,000 KV brushless outrunner, as drive shaft clearance is minimal and does not offer the preferred pinion angle/ride height tunability running a typical 540 sized motor. That being said, we are going to offer a 540 sized motor mount as an option part for those who want it. |
so no price for the kit til it hits the store?? will it be with dig or without? sorry for chomping at the bit here...just super excited to get the wk up again. cant wait for people to wonder what kind of rig im running since it wont have axial axles....wooohooo |

This chassis kit climbs like an animal...look for more vids early next week or check out the current videos posted earlier in this thread. I'm running a Holmes 500 cobalt puller in mine on 2 cells and it has tons of power and torque! I'm just waiting on the remainder of the hardware to arrive along with the anodized parts before it hits out store...but Solomon is telling me to expect all parts to be in stock and packaged by next Wednesday/Thursday. Don |
i want one asap....seriously oh yeah...gona need the dig too... how hard is it to get a body mounted to it... can i pre-order? |
Body is easy easy. I will add a simple body mount setup to the kit. 2 posts right up top. "thumbsup" I will try and add it to the store this evening with a note that it is still a week out from shipping. I'll tell ya right now, this WK setup is gonna blow some minds out there and is pretty much as complete of a kit as you could get. |
this will definately get me to go to a comp now.... |
what dig servo will you run...and when will dig be ready....also what pinion gear you running with that motor... thanks... |
Pre ordered mine!! Got a 500 from holmes hobby coming also. To bad i wont be home till july 2nd to start this build. Hope to have the dig buy then! Going to try to have everything at home waiting for me for a nice build thread. Feel free to throw in any goodies you want! Stickers, wheels, etc!!! May have to stay at work another 2 weeks to fund this project!!! Thanks don and all of the DNA crew!! |
