I got a wheely king when they first came out, so its basicly the crawler king just with all the upgrades. I run modified integy bent links, custom 4 link upper links, novak 55 crawler motor with a rooster esc, strc aluminum frame, eem servo on axle, lockers in the rear only, proline 8 shot bead locks paired with proline moab 2.2s. Nothin too fancy, basicly the crawler king with a true 4 link and servo on axle. I am lookin at gettin one of those new axial scale rigs. We will see.

i also mounted the servo on the front axle, went to a four link front and back, switched to axial shock springs and made my lower links about 1/4 inch longer to center the tires more in the wheel wells, tried a gear reduction unit but it was way to slow

I should have my new CK in the mail within the next couple of days, and I want to know what I need to look out for as far as weak parts. I am buying the steering linkage upgrade right now but other then that is there anything else to look out for?

STRC has some awesome aluminum upgrades. I have upgraded just about everything except the motor, and it is next. The biggest and best thing to do is fix the steering. get away from the chassis mounted servo, it is very poor. There are lots of upgrades from East End Macining, STRC and some others. I posted some pics of my latest upgrades in a thread about making a Ck a scaler. If you want to make a true comp crawler out of the CK then prepare for lots of upgrades. I started with mine and have since built a Venom Creeper and heavily modded my CK. Scour the tips and trick thread, lots of good info in there.
